Samantha Yabut (she/her) is a film editor, assistant editor, and digital content creator based in Toronto, Ontario.

She graduated from Sheridan College’s Bachelor of Film and Television program in 2021, where she specialized in film editing and production management. Her background in film and television has given her a strong foundation in visual storytelling, project management, and creating compelling content for a variety of audiences.

 

​Samantha loves working in all aspects of the film industry and has extensive experience working as a production coordinator, assistant editor, and picture editor on numerous projects ranging from feature films, TV series, commercials, music videos, and short films.

Samantha's most recent editing projects include Bone Vault Inc.'s Get Hooked Season 1, Border2Border Entertainment's Dating Unlocked Season 2 and Drag Heals Season 4. Previously, she worked as a Lead Assistant Editor for true-crime series streaming on Paramount's BET+ and NCB's Oxygen network.

Alongside her film and television work, Samantha has expanded her creative practice into digital content creation and social media marketing. She creates short-form video, photography, and social media content for brands and small businesses, developing creative concepts and content strategies designed to build engagement and connect with audiences.

 

Samantha is passionate about storytelling in all its forms and enjoys combining her filmmaking background with digital media to create engaging, authentic content. Looking ahead, she hopes to continue growing her career in digital content and social media while bringing her production and post-production expertise to brands and creative teams.​​​
